The Company
Elite Mountain Guides Ltd is an English company registered at Companies House. It holds public liability insurance through the British Mountain Guides insurance scheme. All of its guides hold the IFMGA / UIAGM qualification and public liability insurance.
Payment
Bookings will be considered confirmed once you have received e-mail confirmation from us. A deposit of 30% will be charged at that point. You will be obliged to pay for any such confirmed bookings in accordance with the cancellation policy below.
Payment can be made by bank transfer, cash or credit card. Please note that for any credit card payments a handling fee of 1.5% will be charged.
Cancellation: Guiding
Full price is payable if cancellation is made within 48 hours of the start of the activities booked. Half price is payable if cancellation is made within 7 days from the start of the activities booked. There is no charge if cancellation is more than 7 days from start of the activities booked.
All activities are subject to weather and snow conditions. If any activities are cancelled by the guides because of such conditions, no payment is required.
If a client terminates a day's activity for any reason during the course of that activity they are not entitled to a refund.
Cancellation: Expeditions
Full price is payable if cancellation is made within one month. Half price is payable if cancellation is made within two months. The deposit of 30% is payable if cancellation is made more than two months prior to departure.
Transportation
EMG can provide transport (if required) depending on the number of spaces available for a small fee as appropriate.
For transportation outside the valley (Verbier, Courmayeur, Comtamines, Megève etc...) an additional 80 euros will be charged for a return journey.
